The Passenger Appearance Forecasting Module automatically predicts minute-by-minute passenger appearances and provides both live and long-term decision support for operational managers to scale capacity with demand.
Accurate passenger forecasts are key to smooth and efficient airport operations. Each day or period brings new changes such as flight delays, cancellations, changing passenger numbers, unplanned events, seasonal changes, national holidays and more.
The “live” version of the BlipTrack Passenger Appearance module provides real-time re-forecasts which compensate for changes in the flight schedule, delays at check-in, delays in the adjacent road traffic or public transportation and more. In addition, the module is able to dynamically update the passenger appearance forecast, taking into consideration the progress of flights currently being processed in contrast to the plan.
The “long-term” version of the module is able to automatically predict passenger volumes for the days, weeks and months to come. This is accomplished by combining and analyzing the historical data, collected from the same sources as mentioned above, with future flight schedules, expected growth, overall trends, events, holidays and more in mind.
The module works by integrating and combining data from either existing passenger process systems or BlipTrack measurements, with boarding pass data.
The BlipTrack forecasting solution consists of several advanced modules, which are designed to optimize and improve all the stages of passenger handling. The modules can be combined or used separately and are easily integrated with existing airport management systems.
BlipTrack delivers reporting capabilities with live and historical information in a web-based, intuitive user interface with compelling visualizations and real-time insights. The solution enables data extraction in any combination, allowing quick and efficient integration into existing management systems.
